TripRents — Car Rental Terms & Conditions

1. About This Agreement

By booking, signing the rental agreement, or taking the vehicle, you accept these Terms & Conditions.
“We/us” = TripRents (Georgia).
“You/renter/driver” = the person named on the booking.

These terms follow common practices in the Georgian car-rental market.

2. Driver Requirements

• Minimum age: 21 years.

• Valid driving licence held for at least 1 year (Georgian or International).

• Additional drivers must be named on the rental agreement before driving.

• We reserve the right to refuse rental if the driver is unfit, intoxicated, or provides false information.

3. Booking, Payment & Deposit

• Rental charges and selected extras are payable at pickup unless prepaid.

• A security deposit may be required; the amount depends on the vehicle category.

• Deposits are refunded after return if no damage, loss, or contract violation occurs.

• Early return may not result in a refund unless agreed in advance.

4. Insurance & Liability

All rentals include:

• Third Party Liability Insurance

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

• Theft Protection (TP)

Excess/deductible may apply. Insurance does not cover:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Damage caused by off-road driving or gross negligence.

• Lost keys, documents, or accessories.

5. Vehicle Use

• The renter must use the vehicle responsibly and follow all Georgian traffic laws.

• The car must not be used for racing, towing, or illegal purposes.

• Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited.

• Fuel policy: the vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.

6. Breakdowns & Accidents

• In case of breakdown, contact us immediately for assistance.

• In case of accident, notify the police and TripRents right away.

• Do not leave the scene without a police report (required for insurance).

7. Delivery & Return

• Vehicles can be delivered and collected at Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi airports, or at arranged locations in Georgia.

• The car must be returned at the agreed time and in the same condition as received.

• Late returns may result in additional charges.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup.

• Cancellations made later may incur a fee (depending on booking type).

• No-show without prior notice may result in a full rental charge.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Georgia. Any disputes will be resolved under Georgian jurisdiction.
